anyone encountered this problem and what to do to solve it?
the stupid ultratune guy went for a test drive and could't find anything wrong.

Sounds to me like you have too much negative camber or toe out it makes car unstable over uneven surfaces will be difficult to hold wheel.......

so a wheel alignment should solve the problem?

yip but would also pay to check bushes/shocks tie rod ball joints etc but DONT go to pedders

I dislike Pedders too, but you cant beat the $14 suspension check for value!

Could be a number of things as mentioned, toe-out (alignment) worn steering tie rod ends, lower control arm bushes etc etc...

omg. i hope its nothing serious. anyway going to get my car checked out for the 2nd time as the ultratune guy couldn't any fault with my car. stupid

na not too serious mate its normal probs for any vehicle, shouldnt be too expensive unless lower control arms but safety first mate

yeah...safety is the main concerned. I was drive casually with only only my right hand on the steerng wheel most of the time and suddenly steer to one side...not pleasant!

Oh suddenly steer to one side just occasionly could also be your spring has become uncaptive ie out of the groove in the top strut hat

the mechanic went for drive in my fto and he suspect that the control arm bushes are worn which causes problem.
he suggest replaceing them and a wheel alignment will solve the problem.

kmax bushes are what he recommend. i know theres super flex, super pro, whiteline and so on.
so guys, what do you recommend? i want the best and cheapest of the bunch!

Dont want to state the obvious but is the veering left to right really noticable when breaking over pot holes??

Eg.

If theres a pot hole on the left side of your lane, you go to slow down your left wheel runs over the hole while pressure is applied to the brakes. What do you think happens? Basically your left wheel either going over a bump or into a pot hole would bascially semi lock up due to the wheel being not grounded properly causing the steering wheel to move to the left.

im cant recall. but i suspect my stock calipers have seized somehow. its just annoying when showing down at the traffic light and the car just veer to one side.

mine does it too! I have always thought it was caused by the unloading of either front wheel causing the steering to go crazy. I've experienced it in other vehicles too, but I would not call it annoying!

To me, fto should ride as good as it looks. I will cure you...my dear GPX!
