How can i stop my boot carpet from moving around..or actually the better question is...how can i stop my sub from moving around (which is moving my carpet around) ?

i have tried a few things but nothing has worked....i tried some velcro and have tried putting it in some different positions to see f it makes a diffference ....any help please

also....by getting sub ports in the back seats of the car would that stop rattling in the panels ?...i have minimised rattling by putting foam inside everywhere i can...ut would sub ports in the back seats be useful and stop rattling ?

Ummm ... Bolt the sub down

You would be better off putting a thin sheet of mdf over the floor, then bolting the sub to it ... You could secure the mdf to the floor plan (watch out for the fuel tank) or secure the mdf to the plastic bits on either side of the boot, then at the join near the seat... Lay down the carpet ... Then drill the box through it ...

Harry, rock it, is right on the money. Screw the sub box down. As for rattles, instead of just stuffing foaming around willy nilly, try and actually locate the source of the rattles, starting with your license plate. That is probably the first thing to rattle yet one of the last things people look at. Some simple double sided tape will fix that.

You could look at getting dynomat to help get rid of some of the rattle ... There was also stuff call b-quiet .... You could buy the b-quiet off ebay, and it ever came with the rolling applicator ...

I ue an old school bag strap - cable tied to the metal rod at the base of the boot & the strut tops. The bag strap is adjustable too.

I just use Quikgrip from bunnings and stuck the damn carpet to the board. But i had to cut the carpet out a bit so that it would nicely fit with the board. Took me just 30 mins to do up the whole thing properly. As for the sub, y not just bolt it down? But it would be a pain in the arse if u needed to take out yeah spare tire if one of yeah tires go flat

Thanks for the help guys. I am going to cut my carpet into shape and stick it onto the wood planks in the boot so there is 2 pieces with carpet in the boot, and them i am going to get some stretchy bungy? rope from a fishing shop to keep the sub from moving around.
As for the rattling im going to target exactly where it is from and put foam all around it. Also going to get some sub ports and cut out into the mid of my back seat to release the air from the sub.
