FTO AUSTRALIA

Hey guys! unfortunately i was involved in an accident today on paramatta rd going to work (alexandria) from uni (penrith). Fortunately it wasnt my fault so he's liable for everything! But the thing is the dude doesnt wanna go through insurance and wants me to get quotes from smash repairers and he'll pay them instead. Im guessing for his no claim bonuses purposes..

Now the question is.. since im not paying, where can i take my fto to get it fixed? i think its the rear bumper and mayb the boot!

im getting the quotes 2moro to let this guy know..and if he does pay up im taking it to his insurance!!

Dam, that sucks dude ... i really dont have anywhere that i could recommend but, prestige motors in lansvale go through a lot of imports and would do a decent job on an FTO

Better to draft an agreement up and get him to sign it in case he tries something funny...least u have a written record. Poor car

+1 don't trust anybody when it comes to money especially a stranger who's special enough to run into you

dats ok... if he doesnt pay me then i'll just get his insurance involve..lolz..i do have his details... haha!! well i think he has insurance!! lolz

i can highly reccomend g and n smash repairs at i think its technically in merrylands but i could be wrong on the suburb somewhere around there lol. they have worked done a fair bit of work on fto's before i think.

How bad is the damage mate....pics.....

Couldnt agree more I think youll find repair cost is usually more than excess make sure you get agreement and his insurence details just incase

bad luck on the rear- ender. i hope no one was hurt.

i had work done by Narellan Smash a few yrs back on my mazda 626 (bought as a repairable write-off) and they did a gr8 job.
they pulled the rail straight and replaced it, then did all the panelwork and paint.
you might have to wait though, as they are always busy.
is it still drivable?

I hope you got all his info and I would go with the insurance if I was you that way he cant sting you, as he can stuff you around and you'll end up with no car for a long time.

yeah just spoke to a few smash repairs and most of em reckon more than 1g easy! the guy that im gonna take it to reckon 2g!

spoke to guy about the quote and he's gonna talk to his mum about insurance?? i spoke to my insurance company (just cars) and coz im only Third party i have to speak to his insurance company... but just cars is gonna give me some letter incase the guy fucks me around...

no1 was hurt.. and the FTO is still moving... just the rear bumper is fucked and the boot doesnt open anymore...

I got rear ended once, it was pretty painful.... If its just your boot and rear bumper thats crapped it shouldnt cost any more then a grand, i got mine done for 700 plus tipped him an extra 100. and that covered boot respray and the back of the bootlid respray, plus 1 used tailight and haveing a large part of the rear bar plastic weldered

mate thats a great price i bet most people would struggle to get a price like that.

i know they have a really good rep and quality! but i also know that they're fairly busy so i dont want my car t be in the garage for so long coz i need it to get to wrok (alexandria) and uni (penrith) from my house (narellan)
