Hey guys, i just got my strut brace which i bought from ebay today. Went to install it when i noticed that there is nothing in the way on the right side of the car. What is that thing and can it be relocated, i think it might be a bit hard because it has solid metal pipping to it.

your screwed, you could relocate it, its for the air con but it would be an absolute waste of money when theres already strut braces on the market that will fit without having to modify it. SEND IT back, i wouldnt be paying for that

Yeah just messaged the guy. Which ones are you talking about that would fit around it Simon?

EDIT: I gotcha mate, the whiteline or cuscos ones have the bar across the middle of the strut towers, this one is on one side.

You should ask dstocks to keep an eye out for it. He got me the Version R, front and rears, for $150.

you can lossen the bolt in the pic below and push the unit down a little bit and then it will fit or bend the bracket down (bottom of the unit towards the strut tower).
the pipes have some play in them so it will be ok as long as you dont got to far.

+1 with Aza. Just loosen the canister & slide it down. Thats what I did to fit mine.

ALright i fitted it on this morning. Did what aza and ben said to slide the part down and bend it towards the strut tower. Also had to move the alarm system around, but that was a lot easier.

Dstocks, i'm just after the rear ones nows, if you see some could you keep an eye on them for me please. Thanks heaps.
