Going to get some new rims in the next few weeks.Should i get 17's or 18's?? The main thing i like to know has anyone had any problem with 18's being to big and rubbing? Did you have to get your guards rolled.Things like that let me know

17 are a good compromise. 18 are harder to fit properly if the car is lowered. Some people have larger shiny wheels with a real low car and they would have rolled guards. I have 17s, car lowered on coilovers 35mm front and 30 back and my wheels rub. Tyres are 215?45 though so with a lower AR it wouldnt rub.
Will you be lowering your car?

hrmmm.
i dont know where to start my silver fto or my red one.
ok here is what i got.
on Red FTO:
Has white 17" rims with 225/45. Sitting on super lows i think. Guard hasnt been rolled. But it scrapes every. Only had the car since saturday. Everywhere i been with it since it scrapes.

Going through a bouncy road or even turning. Doing a U-turn is bad and thats going around a round about. I'll see how i go with the other fto first. then i'll think about this one.
on Silver FTO:
Has white 18" rims. Buddy Clubs Challenge with 215/40. Stock height. looks like a try hard 4WD.
but once on coilovers guards are gonna be rolled n pumped out arcs about an inch.
looking at getting either the CM4 style front bar or the CW style front bar and CM style rear bar or the CM4-2 style rear bar with an custom mix n match side skirts.
with a custom paint job. white with glitter specs all round except for the bonnet, roof and boot lid will be paint black with gold glitter specs.
also depends on how you want your car to turn out like in the end.

go to 215/40's should not have any issues
If you go 18's make sure rim no wider than 7.5 or you will get rub especially if lowered and size will need to be 35 profile tyre
