any one know if seat cushions are available?
part no. is N229806-2 "R" or would it be cheaper to get a local upholsterer to re-foam the frame?

thanks guys,

colin.

I suspect the latter would be cheaper. Got a quote on the material covering for the seat recently and the top and bottom bits for each seat were over $200 each (over $400 per seat). I think this is because they dont carry any stock in these bits and have to get a special order made up.

i was just after the foam part, it looks like it's injection moulded around a wire/steel frame. it has the part number moulded into it.
i have just removed the covers and washed them in the washing machine, they came out nice n clean.
i found hog-rings and pliers at Bunnings, and re-attaching the covers is really easy with the right tools.

well, i got a quote of $80 to fix the foam, but i bought some from clark rubber and did it myself, cost-$1 i just cut the damaged foam away and glued the new bits to it with poly-urathane wood glue, then shaped it with a blade.
it all worked out good, except that i used a little too much glue and it left a hard line in the foam, but its ok.

Sounds a LOT cheaper than it could have been
