My Cross Member is seriously bent!

I bought myself one of those cars where you end up fixing all the problems that all the previous owners have managed to rack up. My latest came in the form of my gearbox knocking on a very mis-shaped cross member, which has previously been patched up by placing rubber between the box and the member! So dodgy.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement cross member? any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Sure its bent? Or are you just outta mounts?

Good question. My mechanic told me it was seriously damaged - I got under there and had a look, and it was pretty bad - this shot doesn't really do it justice. apparently there needs to be around an inch of space between the box and the member? does this sound right? At the moment it's resting right on it, is there that much give in a worn mount?

Hmmm, yeah that looks like its had a good bash from a bottom out or something. Im sure someone will have a spare floating about.

Sent it back up to Sydney with Bennoz. If you still need, Get a hold of bennoz (PM) and arrange to pick it up.
