probably to avoid congestion from a single piece bridge.
you know, when you're driving along and up ahead there's one of those sh*tty narrow bridges some dumb aussie sh*t thought of, that barely fit 2 gokarts, and no matter how empty the road is or what time it is, you'll always end up on the bridge with a f**king truck in the opposite lane!
