wheels spinning in neutral

Had the car jacked up today and ran the engine for a little bit. I noticed the front wheels started spining when my car was in neutral. I'm pretty sure my release/thrust bearing is rooted cos I've got some chatter when the clutch is and the car is in neutral, but is this something more serious? The force of them spining was strong enough at first for me to not be able to stop them, altho they were spining pretty slow. Any thoughts???

No thats normal for cars with LSD. In saying that i used to work on nissans and some of them would do it without having LSD. Yours is a mivec is it not???

Yeh I got a mivec. Pretty sure I don't have an lsd. I don't have t/c or abs either. Was weird though watching the tyres spinning by themselves

Thats quite normal, all fwd cars do it, throw out bearing worn or not, the motor is still spinning against it.

Well ,aybe its the other way around then i cant remember but im sure when i first joined there was a thread about about some people having it and some ppl not and someone said that it had to do with the LSD. I CBF looking for it though

Doesnt matter what the diff is, if there is no resistance on either wheel when idling, they'll both spin forwards.
If your referring to manually spinning the wheel, then yes that'll cause a LSD to spin them both one way & full slip to send them in opposites.
