Hey guys,

A bit of help...

Image

This was insanely so tight guys.

I tried WD40 with it and leaving it to soak...still no luck. Ugly thing was I tried many times and the bolt pretty much snapped my ratchet socket head to the 14mm.

I did manage to undo the ac/ps tensioner pulley but the alt tensioner..fakkk!

What branded ratchet/tools you guys using? I got mine from Super Cheap and yeah snapped lol.

Btw, Ben thanks for your help so far.

Thanks guys,

Paul

Use a ring spanner with a bloody long bar that slides over the spanner. Itll be stronger than a socket ratchet.

LOL, good old stoopercheap. Buy a ratchet thats more than 10bucks for a start, possibly something named not generic. I've got this tool set made by crescent, everythings solid and of pretty good quality. Paid around 150 for it though but has everything. If your having trouble with it being real tight, put your ratchet inside a jack pole or something similar and use it as a breaker bar

Snap on ftw 8)

And yes, if in doubt go bigger. slide a length of pipe onto a ring spanner as Dwayne suggested. More leverage is the key.

Blah not my fault that Super Cheap is 5mins walk from my place  Only option I have left for a quick fix is the ring spanner + bar...

With the thread title, this could have gone anywhere. I'm disappointed.
