Rear brake upgrade?

Has anyone managed to fit any other calipers to the back of their FTO, I mean without throwing silly money at it, I am Scottish remember 
I know the Lancer 1.8 GSR 4wd Turbo uses the same rear calipers so I imagine someone has managed to get either an upgrade or another caliper from the Mitsi range to fit, problem is I cant get onto the Lancer registers or forums and I aint gonna pay £35 to have a browse. Did I mention I was from Scotland?
So have any of you enterprising antipodeans managed to get anything better on the back or am I on to a dead end here do you think?
Any thoughts would be lonely at the moment
