Does anyone know where I can get an alternator belt?
I went to repco and they quoted me one part number 4PK0950, but saw on jono's thread that he got the 4PK0940 which is 10mm shorter apparently.
Any help with this area would be great and would love to get the car running again tomorrow.

just pull the belt off and take it down there with you its like a 5 in job you could even do it outside the shop your getting it from. measure it up to the correct one

Don't have the belt to compare with.
Went down to 5zigen and on the way back the battery light came on and volts dropped.
When I got home found out the belt had come off and all I'm left with is a little braid of the old belt.

950 - 940 doesnt matter. As mentioned you can take up the slack with the tensioner. Technically it needs the 940.

Could I be having the same problem as you Iwrida...by battery light just recently came on and each time I rev it higher then 4k rpm the light disappears and once it goes back under 4k the light comes back on.
Could it be the alternator? or the belt?

the belt may be slipping and just grabbing at high revs but I would put my money on the alternator, but still check the belt as it would be the cheeper fix.

awesome, thanks for that aaron. ill check my alternator belt today and keep you guys posted.
btw, is the alternator belt just a direct swap? you don't have to pin it like the timing belt right?

real easy to replace, just undo tensioner, remove belt, fit new belt, redo up tensioner
