sorry to see mate, just glad everyone is ok.
On the white line front I bloody hate them, especially when it's a bit wet. The Queensland Governement has been argueing for years that the white lines are safe but I think anyone can vouch for the fact that they can be slippery little suckers in the wet.
On the indicator side of things it sounds like maybe one of the bulbs was blown (in the foglight maybe?). This would cause one side to flash fast, it does that when there is a broken circuit.
I'd be interested in if it did turn out to be a write off because the damage doesn't look that big to me. Plenty of panels but it looks like only panel damage? Please let us know how you get on in any case.

ouch
Glad youre OK.
How much is it insured for? Doesnt look like you bent the chassis in the front, so it may not be as expensive as you think.

Sorry to hear bro but as everyone else said glad no one was injured. I agree with Rallymad i cant see how thats a write off unless the chassis has been bent.
How much is the car worth?
The rear quarter panel looks like it will probably be the most expensive. But front of the car could be done for around the 1k mark give or take $400 or $500. Thats if you sourced your parts. The rear of the car i couldnt say but i doubt it would be anywhere near the 5k mark. So lets say worse case 6.5k how much do you have your car insured for??? im hoping not anywhere the 6k mark.
P.S that is if there is no structual damage and it is all superficial. Also this would be a good time to get any bodykit parts you wanted

Sorry to hear mate.
I was recently in an accident myself and the quote was $5800 for one headlight, front bar and all mountings, and front left quarter panel. So I reckon your prob looking at $8000 min (prob more). In your case if its insured for $13,500 maybe a write-off isn't so bad. Buy the car back off the insurance mob and you'l make sh*tloads on the parts.

Sorry to hear it mate.
As everyone says, at least it's not the occupants needing spare parts.
Wouldn't say it's a write-off, this was mine after a driving-skills impaired person ran a red light and hit me.

Cost me $3500 to fix it using panels from panelhouse (members of the club) and that was a couple of years ago. Door, sill panel, skirt and rear quarter all mangled. She's good as new now.
RallyMad's right about the bulb, If it or the socket is busted, that'll cause the indicators to flash faster.
Hope it all works out for ya, good luck.

Bit of an update, a mate who works at a dealership for mitsu quoted me $700 per panel the other day just to see what the prices will be like. Also my local mechanic doesn't think it will be written off, so at this point I may be looking for aftermarket gear to put on the car instead. Now Ive heard of DMD or whatever, but what bumpers (front & rear) do people suggest. Also the bonnet got bent, so do you reckon thats a throwaway item too? If it is I start looking for aftermarket bonnets too.

Argh dude that really sucks... I've always dreamed of taking my car to FC and back but now I'm not so sure... I don't like the look of a smashed up FTO at Mt Beauty petrol station
Glad no-one was hurt... where abouts on the way down was it cos there's some places where you wouldn't ever come back from...?

Depends on how bent it is. Definitly go aftermarket parts hehe. Check complete fto and see what you like, its personal thing. I would say, dont go veilside cause there is too many around and probably not bozz either cause its starting to happen with that too. Maybe the one that GR8FTO has not sure what that one is

It was actually on the way up, right beside a power station. If it had been about another 10 metres on I would have been IN the power station.nicholas wrote:where abouts on the way down was it cos there's some places where you wouldn't ever come back from...?
As for the front bar I8AFRE, I was actually thinking HKS Kansai but it seems hard to find. Maybe Dstocks has better sources than me otherwise I was considering a lip of some kind. I think the rear bar will be written off too so Im confused about that one, I think the stocko looks better than 90% of the aftermarket stuff.
