Righto... Top radiator hose sprung a leak so i will be replacing both the top and bottom hoses with something a bit heavier tomorow...

The question is, with what?

My two thoughts are between braided hoses (are these custom?) and just some heavier rubber hose... (Adz is using earthmover Hose)

thoughts???

Are you doing this for purpose or just looks? Cause if you haven't upgraded the water pump (and therefore not increased the cooling system pressure) there's no point going for braided, thats just extra weight. Those Samco pipes are made from a silicon based compound - same stuff they use for intercooler piping - as opposed to the OEM rubber style. They are heaps stronger, also used on race cars world wide.

Im pretty sure the diametre of the hoses is 1.75" ID - will double check when I get home.

you can get the "Braided chrome look" hose covers from Supercheap which just slip over your existing hoses just for 'the look' ..

Well, if you really want braided, MSCN ftw.

Composite construction, 40% lighter than regular braided.
