Manual Conversions Kit

Ok im thinking buying a auto fto, coz i have seen that the manuals are a little rare...
Then later on buying me a conversion kit, how much are they and would it be whise to (does it decrease the value of the car?)
Or should i just wait for the right buy?
So many question yet so new to the family.

There is no simple "kit" that you can buy, you would have to by all the parts yourself and then get a mechanic to install it for you...
Or, you could do it all yourself like Max has:

If you want a manual just buy a manual. A lot less complication and wasted money

+2 - I don't know if it will reduce the value of the car, but IMO it might reduce the appeal of it - I know that I'd rather buy a genuine manual FTO than a Manual conversion FTO ... but maybe thats just me?

If you have the right tools, go for it.
Not a hard job at all, can be done in one full day if you have the right tools.
Will cost you hardly anything if you have the right tools.
You should have the right tools to begin with.
Make sure you have the right tools
One of the best upgrades to my FTO, difference is increadible, if you have the right tools.

Haha, so agree. its not till you take on a job that you realise how important the proper tools are.
I just think it is pointless buying an auto when you plan to make it manual. Sure if you buy an auto thinking this rocks, then after a few yrs you decide to change then fair enough do it. but buying to change
