i have a strange problem, my key is stuck in the ignition
i have a 4-speed tip and i have had this happen when im not in park but now its not allowing me to turn the key fully around.

it gets past ACC though.

so yea any ideas?

I had this problem a little while ago, and the transmission hadn't gotten into park properly. Try taking it out and putting it back in a few times.

Quite a common problem actually. There's cables that run from the shifter to the barrell, they can stretch over time & lead to stuck keys - there's also a little plastic lug that can break off.

might not be the same prob, but, have you tried turning the steering wheel around a bit & then removing the key?

Yeah it happened to mine about 3 months after i brought, as ben says its a common fault for the FTO's. I just pulled the whole mechanisim out of the sterring coloum, really easy to do, but if you want to fix it as apossed to just getting rid of it then read the links ben put up.

Edit: When i say whole mechanisim i mean its a little metal piece, didnt mean to make it sound like a big job lol

i have tryed turning the wheel and shifting in acc ect but to no effect.

next step.... take out that stupid lock and maybe ill dissconnect the beeping noise it makes with the key in there when the door is open.
