as my last urgent thread i have fixed the problem only now just wired my dials in .. and took it for a test drive, working dam fine looking nice,
butttttttttttttttt.
the needles on my voltage meter is not working, temp gauge is workin fine ( fuel i presume is also working fine)
but my RPM needle is slightly stiff and moving, SPEDO.needle is stiff as a rock .
any help here ? did i break it when putin the dials on ? is there a way to fix this /? maybe the good old WD40 or something ?

WD40

Noooooo
If there's nothing catching on the needle, and you took the needles out, looks like u pushed them back on too hard. Try lifting them out slightly with 2 teaspoons. Be GENTLE with them...

Although you shouldn't need to have taken the needles off in the first place, unless they're a very old set....

hmm no i didnt take the needles out at all, i sliped the dials thru the hole, and gradualy moved it up and over ,there was a little bit of pressure on the needles themselves. but no i never removed them .. i will have a go now and see how if its fixed

+1
Be VERRRY EXTREMELY GENTLE with them .. just a warning .. if you pull any of the needles off completely, it will throw out the reading that they give .. if you do it to your Speedo, the reading will be out by quite a lot..
Also, try using a bit of glue from a hot glue gun to stick the dial faces down a bit in case the needle or needle cap is catching on them - Don't use some other type of glue or silicone though, cause at least the hot glue gun is forgiving & you can unstick it & peel it of if you didn't align them properly or something..
Whatever you do, don't be spraying any WD40 on them

If you didn't remove the needles, then don't go messing with them
Then, yeah, it's likely to be catching somewhere. Make sure the dial faces are stuck down propperly.

How thick was the double sided tape you applied to the back of the dial face. If its too thick, you wont have enough space between the face and the needle. Also, if you didnt apply enough tape, there could be a slight bend in the face (where there is no tape) that is tripping you up

ok yep the problem was not enough tape and it was slighlty bending up
SO . spedo, and Rpm , AND (still need to fix volt) 3rd attempt
but its working , a few broken bits here and there, arghh so impatient, ive just cracked my frieken gear surround !!
now when ever turning my headlights on, there is a constant beep sound and the more i brighten the el dial the slightly louder it gets!!
ive hooked it up correctly as the guide says ? any idea why im geting this beep ?
