Did you cut first ? The wax is just 10% of the overall look.

It's all about surface prep!

And if you're serious about making it all nice, i'd recommend Pinnacle Souveran paste wax as a starter. Available from www.waxit.com.au
It's specifically designed for red and black cars.

This is with some Pinnacle products...sealant bottom, paste wax top.

The turtle wax ice is designed to replace wax and act like wax. Basically, it's a synthetic polymer sealant which will outlast wax and is easier to apply but synthetics atm don't have anywhere near the gloss and wet look of a paste wax.

Ay, clay bars are good shiz :D
If you get fussy later on, you can use a light cutting compound to remove scratches in your clearcoat before sealant/wax. Looks awesome afterwards but does require a lot of work.

Yup... +1 for the TurtleWax Ice.

Been using it over last few months, simply cos it's so quick and easy. wipe on, buff out.

Turtle do a liquid claybar too, not quite as good as an old fashioned one, but again, so easy to use and you can do the whole car in 10mins.
