Basically, whilst it was parked on the street outside my girlfriends apartment (which mind you is a fairly secure area, or so I thought) at around 5am some bogans or retards or whoever gets enjoyment out of this sort of thing threw a can of veg at the drivers window but hit the b pillar and it exploded along the side and across the drivers side mirror.
I had the mirrors folded in (just out of habit) and its lucky I did because if they had been out I think I would have a can of veg where my mirror should be.
Pics are from my phone so sorry if they're blurry and stuff.
Veg across the window and the broken glass in the mirror:
Tools liked their corn:
It was thrown with some force, look where it ended up:
You can see where its hit the mirror after bouncing off the b pillar. A credit to Mitsu japan that the window didn't smash.
f**k I hate society. I have no idea what I'm going to do now, theres no parking around there thats NOT on street.
Oh, and has anyone got that part of the mirror sitting around? I need a newie.

That sucks a big fat ugly one! I feel your pain mate, I hate leaving my car on the street and in carparks and whatever, but sometimes you hvae no choice!
And I hate it that people do this sh*t... why can't people just have more respect, it really pisses me off.
Anyway, I think you're real lucky that the window didn't indeed smash... then they could've decided to f*ck the inside too or something.
You know, these sorts of things don't happen that often so maybe it'll be okay on the street there for another little while... but you never know do you.
To show ultimate dedication to your FTO... drop the girl lol.

I'm gonna try to park it either within a hotel carpark next door, or in a mates workplace about 2 minutes walk away. Don't trust that street anymore.

Having just been through this myself, I know exactly how you feel. Sorry to hear someone else has become a victim too.
I can get a new mirror for sure and can maybe help with just the glass

Really sorry to see this mate. Around here there seems to be a spate of late of young tools throwing stuff at cars. One tried the other day but I just managed to miss it somehow. By the time I had got back to where they had thrown it from they where gone. Seems some of the younth of today have no respect at all. It's very sad

Broken into

^^^ what happened to your car?
I got broken into just before Christmas. Ripped the weather strip off and got into the car by inserting something between the glass and the rubber and flicking the internal lock (no internal lock rods anymore though, so they cant do that again!). Once they go in, they tried to break the steering lock. Instead they bent the crap out of my steering column and my momo airbag wheel. Straigtened the steering column as best I could. The car is still drivable, but just doesnt handle quite right atm. Ended up claiming on insurance as was going to be too much to fix myself. Have just got the OK to source the parts myself as I can get them new much cheaper in Japan than here in Australia.
Talk about balls though. When they gave up on mine, they jumped the back fence, walked across the road and into the local car stereo workshop, took the keys to the bosses new ute off the board and drove his car away. And this all happened in the middle of town during the day.

All I need is the glass Dwayne, the mirror seems absolutely fine, I re-adjusted it via the electronic panel straight afterwards and its almost usable at the moment, I just have half a mirror.
Yeah the glass to get it cut was going to be about $100, figured I would ask here first to see if someone had a piece from a wreck lying around.
