Heater temp keeps going down in every half hour.

hi guys,
i just have a quesiton here to see if it is normal to FTO.
i set the heater at 22c in the morning and drive on the highway to work. in about half hour time, the heater temp will goes down, then i trun to 24c, in other half hour, the heater temp will go down again. then i turn to 26c....................
if i set to AUTO, it will be the same problem.
is this normal happen with FTO? if not, what could be done to repair?

the climate control system senses the temperature of the cabin space and keeps it at the temperature which has the AC has been set to.
so if you set it to 24, then once it reaches that temperature it will maintain it by heating when it drops below 24 and cooling when it goes above 24.
however i must admit, i only thought this happened when it was on auto mode.

Mines is the same, I keep turning up the temp as it seems to get colder and colder, I just assumed I was getting more prone to the cold as I got older

thanks for help guys.
i had tried to use AUTO funtion, and try to see if it able to mentain 24c. but i'm sure, when i driven 2 hours after. my full body is getting freeze. must not be 24c.
i was thinking, would it cause by weak water pump? my car is running 75k km.
or does anyone able to tell me which part i should look into to make it working?

nah it has nothing ot do with the water pump it is most likely either the A/C control system or the condensor.
that would be my first guess.

so, my situatuation is not normal. does everyone agree?
if do, i better spend some money to garage for checking.

it's not a big deal it doesn't really matter that much, if you want to get it sorted book it into an air conditioning specialist to get it fixed.

Anyone got a spare climate control unit they could lend him? Its not a hard job to swap...

IIRC the air temp sensor in the car is behind the dash, somewhere near the heater matrix. This could be malfunctioning or just badly positioned so that, as behind the dash warms up the air con ECU is fooled into thinking the interior of the car is warmer than it is.In which case swapping the ECU wont make much difference.
