Back to the most posted topic again (other than lifter noise):

I did some checking on the stepper motors available on Ebay and found they aren't the correct replacements for the FTO. They might work, after a fashon, but not how they should. Problem is, for what it's worth, the shop manual says a faulty stepper motor can damage the ECU..not sure about this, but they must know something or they wouldn't bother printing it.
The correct part number is E9T15296. Now I found out these are available for $165, not sure if it includes shipping. Mitsubshi wants $313! not sure what trade is.
Anyone able to get them any cheaper?

Anyhow thought I'd let you guys know, anyone wanting a stepper motor let me know & I'll post up the details. If there were a few guys interested, we could probably get a better deal.

I might be able to do better too. I can probably pick them up from Mitsubishi Japan and avoid the grey import markup that Mitsubishi Australia applies.

Got mine from Kempys in NZ. Seem to remember under the NZ$100 mark.

Sounds like dstocks might be the man to talk to..

Other than that, I emailed this guy about them & was told he can get the right ones from his supplier at $165.
