friction point and other stuff...

I wanted to know from you guys, what point of range on your clutch pedal would it begin to engage? Mine is right at the top (barely have to press it).
I also wanted to know if it can be adjusted (with a slide rail or something), ultratune told me you cant, i dont believe them.
On top of that, how many of you use your cars as a daily driver?

I use mine as a daily driver and the clutch does take up near the top, my laser has a big pressure plate in it and takes up a lot closer to the firewall and is a lot more aggresive so I would think that an exedy clutch like a lot of guys have fitted would improve the take up distance. Although I'm also interested in what those clutches are like to drive every day in traffic.

My pick up is about mid-way, but it did have a new clutch fitted about 20k ago. Man that was a great investment!!
Anyhow, they should be able to be adjusted, most manuals are, but not 100% sure on the FTO. Maybe consult the workshop manual (as I couldn't be bothered right now
)

Mine was a manny...took up right near the top. Easy daily. Bit dead in feeling but you get used to it lol.

new clutch fitted about 10'000 ago grabs about 1/4 - 1/2 way off the fire wall.
and its a daily driver

most of them are adjustbale. I bet all of yours are also.

I cant remember the brand but I would ashume it would have just been a standard clutch for the GP
it was done under waranty and confermed when the motor was worked on as they did a full check on it (check done by Pulse racing)

Mine lets up roughly half way, but closer to the top. Maybe just call up a Mitsu dealer and ask whether the clutch can be adjusted.

Adjustment is easy, just a bit fiddly. You have to get up under the footwell, remove the split pin that is on the very top of the clutch pedal & pop out the pivot pin. You then unlock the nut on the arm of the clutch master cylinder, then wind the connecting bracket in or out depending on how you want to adjust.
