Oil Filter

Hi all im servicing my car soon and i saw in the FTOA oil thread that khunjeng said the oil filter number was MD360935 i went to mitsubishi and they said its the same as a lancer and gave me MZ690115 is that still fine?

Yep. Thats a newer part number & its more than likely superceded the old number.

How much did that cost???? why not just use aftermarket filter for like at least half the price

12 dollars mate from mitsubishi not manufactured in aus by ryco or anyhitng eitehr!

Ryco is about $10-12 but i heard it wasn't very good.

ryco valvoline, arel the same, really at the end of the day a filter is a filter but i would touch a $6 filter

ryco are by far the worst you can buy, their insides are made of wax paper!

How can you say that wheres the fact's, im not disagreeing but come on at least post some sh*t up to back up your OPINION, instead of making just a random remarks.

has been before and ryco is sh*t
tests have shown them the worst in flow and pressure tests...their construction is less than good and the material is known to be crap.

i dont say 'random remarks', i say what i know, and learn from what others tell me, and from what i research and read. i dont stab in the dark, i just thought it was common sense to NOT buy ryco like you do NOT buy delco for cars in our category

ok i know im going to get flamed asked ot use teh search button etc,but im tired and im servicing it tomorrow lol. OK in terms of oil sice summer is coming up what should i use..im just aftersomething that i can go to super cheap auto or repco or autobarn and buy it from them. I usually drive the car straight away out even on a cold start and i every trip i go on i let mivec kick in once or twice what are your thoughts opinions?
(btw: 95 gpx manual 145000km)

go get a 5w30 or 10w30. Castrol should have some...not sure about local mobil.
30wt is the way to go.

Mate you came up with the opinion all filters are the same. So obviously your contradicting yourself by not knowing what is face of fiction yourself. Filters are very different from one or the other.
