It should be on the car's registration sticker (well at least it is in Vic)...
*runs downstairs to check*
"Tare 1150"
it is definitely more than a tonne

Iirc, officially, a gpx tip is 1190 kg, manual is 20 kg lighter at 1170. The GS is the lightest at around 1100 or so and GpvR is 30 kg lighter than an equivalant gpx. i.e. if it's a manual gpvr, 1170 - 30 for 1140 kg. Those tare weights on stickers are bs half the time.

Yep - thats straight out of the textbook.
BUT, keep in mind those factory weights are done prior to any fluids being added to the car. So you can safely add another 50kg in oil, coolant, ps fluid, petrol etc
Then add your own body weight. I would say a fully fueled FTO with driver would be closer to 1300kg.

my mate weighs 186kg and i had to drive him around a few times.
that brings the car up to 1500kgs, which means.... bad power to weight ratio.

I just put my car up on the weigh station at work full tank and me in the car 1230kg GPVR
I am 65kg, tank of fuel 60L = 60kgs + oil and so on aprox 15-20kg would end up aprox 1090kgT and that still has the space saver and all that other S**T in it as well.
