i dont really think this is too fast in regards to the times... but this was done by me on a highway after stopping and taking off from middle lane....
btw it is a 1996 gpx with no engine modifications
0-100 in 10 seconds
[edited this line out]
good ? bad ? not bad for no upgrades ?

Sorry, had to edit the second line out (for your benefit and the clubs

). All sorts of people browse the forum....
Standard time from 0-100 is about the 7 second mark from memory (a little slower than that in a tiptronic though)

i have a stock GPX manual and although i have never actually timed i have counted and i think it was just under or very close to 7 seconds.
so i personally think that 10s for a GPX FTO is slow

Bad...very bad... a stock auto fto should be able to do high 7s if launched properly. Even with no launch (i.e. off brake and just stomp it), i would expect low 8's give or take.
My old auto 1.6 corolla did it in 10s =/ (modded but still..).
Sorry don't mean to be harsh.
maggsy,
Stock manny fto launched properly is around the low 7 mark...pretty accurate counting you got there

lol its all cool.... it wasnt really the best situation to test... was very rushed and didnt let the revs up.... stopped in the middle of highway and my mate used his phone as stopwatch...pretty dodgy

yup
hance shifting close the red line (by that i mean where red starts, not with the needle pointing to 9000rpm lol.... does anyone else remember the huge argument about speed at red line in first gear? think that's why simon chucked a hissy

and avoided the forum for a yr lol)
