Heys..
Well thing is I just bought a GPX FTO that comes with no manuals..
Although, there's a "TCL" light that comes on and off when it feels like it on my dashboard. And when i push the TCL button.. nothing happens, the light stays the same as it was.. either on or off.. So my question is:
What is TCL?

That's why they have the switch
Which way are you pressing the switch? One way is on, (Down I think) the other is off. (Toggles 2 ways, centre position is dead)
The green light coming on on your dash is when it becomes active. You'll notice it more when cornering at high speeds (

) and in the wet (

turn it off...)
When it is switched off there is a brown/orange light that'll come up on the dash.
Becomes more sensitive the faster you go too...

I have a switch too... The accelerator...
You press it and you say bye to traction... woot!
If only it was RWD...
And what models did this come on? I noticed mine had a fuse labeled TCL but no switch or light... so im presuming it doesnt have it...
that combined with the fact it used to light up all of 3rd gear...
What models came with TCL? and how does it work?
i.e. my RX-8 has 2 seperate traction controls... one for front, one for rear...
Dump the clutch in 2nd and it cuts some power to the rear to prevent wheel spin...
corner too hard and the front brakes start grabbing...

I believe thats not just TCL, but also EBD. As TCL don't control the brakes, but EBD does.
Most brands now link up TCL with EBD and ESP/DSC (or what ever the brand like to call it).

Yep TCL is an optional extra. Isnt that common really. I had it on my last FTO (but not on the new one). Youll find if you corner hard with it on, the car will feel sluggish (as the TCL pulls the power when the inside wheel starts to lose traction - its designed to maintain traction at all times. Great in the wet though. You can floor it at the lights in the rain and you wont get wheel spin.
Thanks For The Compliments =)
