A quick question:

I am thinking to buy a 2nd-hand Axis Hiro 18" with Falcon rubber. saw the pics i think they're OK. were fitted on a DC5 type R before.
Anyone came accross this brand before? wonder if it fits on fto.

that dude proposed me a $800. reasonable?

cheers, any response much appreciated! :P

depends on their condition ... also find out whether they're the right size for an FTO i.e. not too wide..

Thanks for rapid replies!
Told him that ima go to his workshop and put them on.
what happens if offset doesn't match? wheels still fit into fto but causing problem or they don't fit at all? yeah i see what you mean 'too wide', its something like wheels outside fender? going to cause problem when doing a turn.
ps: btw he told me that it fits on a fto.

Check this;
http://www.redfto.co.uk/FTO%20Specs.html
Down the bottom of the page (there are other guides if you search)

You've also got to make sure that they're not going to rub on the inside of the wheel arches like a lot of larger rims tend to do.. so if you just get them fitted you won't know until afterwards ...

Someone with some 18"s could probably give you a better idea than me..

Thank you for the comments!

Yes that will be the first thing to confirm.
Speaking of which, the price $800 is genuine? no major scratches/dents etc.
Grrr I cant post the images... sorry about that! 8O [/img]

also depends what tyres are on there.. if they're crap tyres (and I assume he's just put some cheap sh*t ones on to sell the rims) you'll probably want to (or need to) put some good ones on .. so that could cost you at least $800 for some good ones... about the same price as some new rims..

mr-charisma:

Yes i have been told that Falcon low profile is being used but i have no idea how much treads left

i checked that brand 'axis' it has pretty decent reputation in the States
anyhow my ride has a set of ROH 16" which are not too bad at all but the scratches are total eyesore (previous owner loves gutter)
