Its here folks!
You can access the gallery by clicking the link in the menu to the left of screen.
All user accounts have been migrated in from the forum, so if you are logged in here, you are logged into the gallery. If you find it does prompt you for login credentials, use your forum login.
Please note, there are new rules for the gallery. This has been added to the main FTO Aus site rules (in the Notice Board):
Gallery Rules
The gallery is intended for pictures of your car, or other club sanctioned events. Do not post pictures of your Saturday night - stay relevant.
The gallery has facility to add comments to peoples pictures, as such, the same rules apply to comment posting as forum posting - see above section
No posting pictures that contain nudity, derogatory or disturbing images
No posting pictures of any illegal activities
Maxiumum picture size is 2Mb
Users are only to create 1 personally gallery for their car
Gallery will be moderated by the same team that moderate the board
State Co-ordinators will have moderator facility as well - as there are state specific folders for cruise pics etc
Rule breaches of the gallery are subject to the same moderation disciplines as forum breaches. Users can be banned, from both forum and gallery.
Moderators are bound by the forum rules defined in this post to apply whatever penalities are appropriate.
There may be a few bugs in it still, so if you have any problems just let me know in this thread.
The moderator team have been added into the admin group of the gallery, so they can all moderate as they do on the board.
Those of you old timers (pre 2004) may remember the old gallery before it was hacked, this is pretty much the same, only a much newer version.
I've used a second database for this gallery. Mainly for 2 reasons, first up, so when someone is uploading bucket loads of pics, it doesnt adversly effect forum speed. The second reason is security, as mentioned the last gallery was hacked & brought the whole site down, if that happens again, the forums will not be effected.
Enjoy!
