I'm after nice sounding, about the same loudness exhaust for the fto. I'm running a 3.5" mandrel bend system, and want to know what you guys out there have found when upgrading the mufflers.
Prices and locations would be great too.
Cheers

I jsut ordered in a chypher muffler. It's the Chypher pro v2. It's specs say that it's the most quit muffler they stock ranging from low- to quite, which is what i'm after!!
Anyone got this on there car?
Also, how many resonators do you guys with upgraded exhausts run? Is it still 2.
Cheers

even a 2.5 is too big. 2.25 is the way to go.

if you want quiet, just replace the existing rear muffler with something like a magnaflow muffler. They sound alright and arent too loud.

i would like to go 2.25, but with the turbo conversion underway, i'd have to build a new system from scratch!

Yeah mangaflow got good sounds & generally pretty quiet, but once u put few more mod on to it, it sound like any other exhaust, which r pretty loud!!

one way to fix loud exhausts is to fit additional resonator(s). although they can somewhat restrict airflow, the difference is only very marginal/negligable...

I refute that 2.5 is too big =)
You really should have at least one resonator in the setup . . . the exhaust note is just way too harsh =) (I was running a muffler only setup (deadening wise) for around 1 - 1.25 years.

Mmmm for meh 18th my brother n sis are getting me extractors and exhaust, n i was told the cat is in the middle of the exhaust and the extractors?
SO, if thats true than does that mean you should change the cat to say a hi-flow cat? or would using the normal cat still have the same effect?
Also, what does a high flow cat do??
Cheers
Tim
BTW: sorry for hi-jacking the thread

each to their own i guess! but i reckon 2.5 is too big for a 2.0L engine!
2.5 is more suited to something 3.5 to 4.0 L.

*nods* I'm just worried about restriction at the higher end of the scope, I'm not really that fussed about losing a little low end.
=)
