I know i need to get new shock obsorbers, which im getting from rpw for both front and back. Front is 225 and back is 143. I`m unsure which shocks i need, so im getting both. Just to another question sometimes when im driving through pot holes i get a very lose steering. the steering wheel would just turn by it self. Is this a case of the strut bar?

The car is giggling a lot, could this be the strut bar or the wheel allignment or a tyre issue?

i would get the weel alignment cheeked a good way to tell is look at your tyers and if they are scrabing you deffenatly need a wheel alignment

+1 on alingment
Car trying to drive itself is usually a poor toe setting, ie zero toe or toe out.

thank so much guys, really appreciate the help a lot. I think i might change the shocks first then get my wheel alignment done just incase i might need to get another alignment after changing the shocks.

Yeah, you'll definitely need an alignment after changing the shocks

I get the same thing, car is in the shop at the moment. Had shocks changed, bushes, and wheel allignment. Still not sure what it is... feels very unstable, almost to the point of being scary!!! Two possibilities remain:
1. Something in the steering rack
2. Tyres
Had tyres checked, a little bit of uveven wear but not enough to cause such dramatic change in steering

should get your springs checked as well... your shocks would have to be pretty far gone to be causing a bumpy ride.. when my shocks were really bad, it wasn't so much bumpy as it was just really springy, like I'd go over a bump & it would cause the car to almost bottom out & wheels scraping on guards etc..

Happened in my last car POS!!
wheel alignment FTW who ever you take it to should be able to do a full check on all your springs shockies etc and give you a diagnosis.
