Hey guys
Ive heard good things about the Camskill ITG Pod filters
But i also wanted to get a heat shield to protect it.
Where can i get one from?

Lets get the posts rolling!

I have tried both a HKS and a K&N, I much prefer the K&N.
The "recommended" K&N filter is relatively small, the one I bought is probably the biggest you can fit in the FTO, from memory the guy said it was designed for the Holden Calais. I went for a bigger one, as it has a greater surface area, which means it will breath easier and filter better.
An air filter is a fine balance between restricting dirt into your engine, while allowing air through. Typicaly the more it filters the harder it is for the air to get through, so you need to way it up and make a choice.
Here's a couple of links you may be interested. Unfortunately they don't do a dirt test on the ITG pod.

Because of its bigger size, the K&N filter I've got will work better than they one they tested. I like my engine clean, I like the value for money in having a cleanable / re-usable filter, and I like the performance gains I got, so I'll be sticking with my K&N.

Im running HKS air fileter, which according to fto.org is the one which gives the most power gain. Cost wasnt an issue for me as my car came with it

as discussed last weekend, my car came with the Apex'i pod filter and it sounds great... In terms of performance, I am yet to run it on the dyno therefore i can only assume a small handful of HP at the top end... I suppose it also comes down to how much you are willing to spend, then we can go with suggestions from there...

yeah I'm guessing it's the same one that I got (assuming they haven't come up with any new models lately)
IMO $275 sounds pretty good for a Jap cone/pod filter... does that price include fitting?
i can't think of any place in melbourne that sells Jap parts at bargain basement prices but if you do happen to stumble into one, hook us up!)

For $365 you can get a new intake pipe, pod, air box and snorkle as part of our group buy.
