Just a few quick questions. My car came with a Blitz intake (as you can see below) and whilst it is somewhat heat shielded I have a feeling its still sucking hot air from the engine bay. There is a stock fresh air pipe but it appears to lead to a closed off box, which is kinda pointless. I'm considering modifying this pipe to take fresh air from the front grill and sealing off the whole system. However I've heard of people sucking in water and having all sorts of headaches. Does anyone else thinks its a risk or is it worth while?

Change the intake pipe to something good. Seal off the section near where the intake pipe meets the pod (but not bottom, nice cool air comes up from there under what). Don't worry about cai if you're worried about water. I also seem to recall that the blitz filter isn't too great for airflow but can't be 100%.

Just jam a big piece of pipe up from the front bar. You can use cable ties to secure it. I've never had any issues with water.

And try piss that stock intake pipe off, replacing that can see you pick up ~5kws

myself and bennoz have used good old fashioned dunny pipe from bunnings....... works a treat

Depending on the money you want to spend, UAS have a intake pipe, filter, and carbon fibre sealed box setup available. I think it's in the order of $350 or so.

Otherwise you could go with a ghetto PVC pipe setup from Bunnings. Couple lengths of pipe, two 90 degree bends, as well as some matt black spray paint, and the thing practically builds itself.

Grab one of those windscreen sunshades and you construct a heatproof airbox aswell for ultimate street cred.

Haha everyone seems to be pretty keen on the bunnings idea. However i have found an alternative on ebay. Will cost me around $95 then i'l have a go at fabricating a box myself. If anyones had any problems with this ebay dealer let me know. Heres the link.

I'l let you know if I go through with buying this ebay kit. Will mainly be buying the kit for the stainless pipes though so I'l probably end up keeping the Blitz filter.
