What is the Penalty for travel through a intersection in a red light condition WHEN the driver is a LEARNER? I have been taken a photo by the automatic Camera this morning 3:00am. Is it very serious?

Don't worry, people in jail won't ask you to pick up the soap these days, they just use the shower gel as a form of lube instead

They usually only take a finger for the first offence

On a more serious note, I think one of two things can happen;
Either a) you'll lose 3 points personally (and as learners don't have 'points' per-se, that means licence loss) or
b) whoever was the instructing driver at the time will take the 3 points.
I'm pretty sure it'd be b, I know that's the case for DUI and pretty sure its the same for speeding.

um... which state r u in? cos i'm pretty sure in qld learners have 4 points same as Ps, and u take the points, the only time the instructing driver takes any points is if they r over the blood/alc limit while "instructing" lol.

... is only my interpretation of the NSW laws - different in all states.

Geee 80kmph, you guys get it easy these days. No wonder there are so many "heros" on L these days.
I don't get how goverment keep putting up "Speed Kills" and increased the limit for L plater by more then 30%.

at one point L's were alowed to do 90k then dropped back to 80k
if you want to know anything in regards to your points or demerits go and look up the RTA site and check it out you can find all you need there even ll the answers to the computer tests for your permits from car to trucks
it beets paying $25 per book and then reading it all

And now its 12 months on red, 24 months on green and 3 years of copping s**t from everyone and abuse from cops.

Dont start on this again.... I lost 3 points on the 3rd day I had my licence, almost killed myself & wrote off the car within 3 months of driving. Had to do half my HSC in a wheelchair. Rules are there for a reason.

Intense mate...
Point agreed though... Having my P's for 3 years helped me gain invaluable experience. YEah the cops pick on you. But once you're off your P's its much better and you're better off for it.
