hey,
im pretty sure the rotors at the front are becoming warped as when i brake there is a shaky/slight vibration thru the steering, i have heard from another website that the standard mitsi rotors tend to warp over time, i obviosly need to get them replaced but does anyone know what the go is with gettin new rotors, do u have to get specific GPX rotors or can u get aftermarket pair??? and what are the cost ??
cheers

Try to use the search button, as this topic had been covered a fair bit by now.
Here's one we discussed earlier in 2005

The Fto GPX brakes are Evo3 brakes and can easily be replaced with aftermarket rotors.
do a search for brake upgrades, theres plenty of advice and reccommendations, i just cant find the brake upgrade link at the mo.

mate, its your brakes, nothing more important on a car.
its worth spending that little bit more to make sure you can stop properly.

Brake pads is the key if you want great brake power.

yeah had a brake specialist have a look at the rotors he said it was more that my brake pads had worn down a fare bit, causing the rotors to sustain more heat and therefore warp slightly. any suggestions on quality mid performance brake pads to put on ?????

I just went through this delima recently..........depends what your interpretation of "mid performance" is......and how much you wish to spend.
My current mid performance solution is DBA4000 rotors and Ferodo DS2500 pads.
I previously had EBC Greenstuff's and EBC rotors, this was a good combination for everyday use, a lot of other people have gone for Race Brakes RB74's and DBA rotors with good results as well.
Cheers
