Boris, Kazbah and I had done a write up on it, its pretty long and i can't remember where by now, as it was a long time ago.

Do a search and you should able to find it.

if you're in melbourne PM me and i'll lend you a hand installing them
pretty easy if you've done them before

they aren't impossible for a beginner... just time consuming

here is the Installation Guide,

http://www.annesflowerbasket.com.au/FTO/frontseats.zip

http://www.annesflowerbasket.com.au/FTO ... ionDIY.doc

use a good large size pliers to remove the metal rings, it shouldnt take any more then 3-5 secs for a ring to be removed.
Make sure to use gloves to protect your hands,

I am down to 4hrs these days for taking off the stock covers, and installing the new ones 8)

Let me know if you have any questions, here to help

Just remember, it is really worth spending the extra time getting it right the first time, because you will never fix it up properly (mostly cause you wont be arsed) later on.

Get all those wrinkles out and you will be very happy with the result!!!

On that note, make sure all the cable ties are firm but not too tight, or you end up with a bit of gaps everywhere.

use a hair dryer to warm up the seat covers to smooth out the creases

Use side cutters to cut the metal rings instead of bending em, you don't need em. Only takes a second or so per ring that way

I just bought a cheap set from the hardware store and chucked em afterwards.

I also have seat covers.. been dieing to get them on but with work and uni never have the time.

i thought about takin it an upholstry place .. they quoted me about 2hrs work for them to do.. so looking at around $150 for the back and front.. two question:

1) is this a reasonable price?

2) do you think they will do a really pro job e.g. nice clean fit / no creases etc?

any comments would be good

Thats a good quote,
I cant believe they can do the job in 2 hours,
I have done around at least 30 cars till now, min I get is just under 4 hours.

No need to worry about creases, they disappear in a week time after a bit of usage

i highly doubt they'd be able to do it in 2 hours...
...my guess would be expect to pay $300 to $400

Jonowong: can i fly you to perth?? haha

well, i took the seat covers and my car to a guy there where they had a warehouse with cars & boats all over the place with loads of doods working on each one etc, and he said 2hrs .. but if it took less i would only pay the time they worked on it (as if they would tell me).

But if he verbally quoted me 2 hrs (approx $150+gst) and then i took it in and it took say 4 hrs.. they cant charge me extra can they?!?

anyone flying to perth soon wanna help lemme know!! haha
