Sure. If you dont mind having no engine for 6 months.
This engine will be sitting in my garage being worked on for ages while i drive around with my current engine.

YEah looks like thats my main option right now.
Also Joe and Ricks has a spare Non-Mivec.
though they want $1500 for it...
For a rebuild i think thats a bit much.

is the one at joe and ricks a reconditioned one?
if so that's just wasting money. since u r just going to replace most parts anyway lol

just out of curiosity, why a GR engine? why not another mivec engine for rebuilding? is it purely cos it'll be cheaper to rebuild the GR with turbo?

Two reasons:
Bottom end strength
and
Simplicity (easier to find people to work on it)

Exactly...
Theres one way to make quick power in a turbo...
MORE BOOST!

The only question is will everything be able to keep up...

GR and piss off the mivec. It adds little value to u in your setup...

The GR engine will still need a rebuild for what u are talking about.

Personally if u gonna do it, go 6A13. Or rebuild a GR with forged goodies...

Yeah 6a13 is a bit too much $$ and a bit too much power for what i want.
My goal. 180kw atw and a strong motor.
If it takes forgies... then well i better start saving

shudve went a 4g63... they handle 21 psi pretty well

ughhh u guys..
I want reliability...
180kw is not a struggle on a Turbo GR with a fully reconditioned balanced, blueprinted block. And it should be able to do it all day...
I dont want to get into the expensive world of engine transplants.. please no..
