Having just bought my 96 FTO GPX Mivec late last year I'm getting the sh*ts with the beeping sound that occurs when you put the car in reverse.

Is there a way to turn this off?

And is there a way to turn the reading lamps off when you have a door open ?

As for the lights, I dunno, pull the bulbs out

Thanks champion this will help me a lot... but for the lights, i want them to work only by the switch not when i open the door as well.

am i asking too much ?

You'd just have to rewire the door open trigger relay so that it would not turn the interior lights on (but still bring on the door open light on the dash).

Shouldn't be too hard to do for a sparky...
