can you give more details? When does it do this? As you turn off the engine, or as you're driving?

LOL... I can only hear it when the cars on, doesnt matter whether its idling or reving, yeah i thought it might be something to do with the fuel pump.. car seems to run ok though... :?

Its probably one of the vapour return lines blocking up... there is a lot of pipework under there! Get the fuel system flushed.

Does the noise go away after the car has warmed up?

Thanks for that pic Benn, but i dont think that theres much i can do.. as in DIY, and joel the sounds constantly there whether the cars warmed up or not.. hole in the exhaust is a possibility.. might need to get under there and have a look .. thanks guys!

Fuel pump makes a noticeable intermittent hiss every few seconds or whatever or check the clamp on your exhaust just behind the rear passenger tyre area. Mine got really loose and exhaust gas was able to escape out of it.

Interesting.... just whipped my seats out and went for a drive (looking for a pesky rattle!) and I can hear quite a load hissing coming from my fuel pump as well. Put the seats back on, and it's not noticable.

You've got me paranoid now!
