Non FTO Suspension Help

Hi guys i have in mind a project that I've been giving some serious thought for a couple years. It's not really FTO related but I've found this forum very helpful and many people here quite knowledgable so I thought i'd throw it out there.
I am planning on basically making a street legal car with a basic frame, kinda like a super go kart or at least thats the best description I can come up with or even closer like the ariel atom but far cheaper. It's a weekend project. I'm sourcing parts etc. right now but I'm having trouble finding coilover suspension that would fit that application. Overall weight will be between 500-650kg so need something designed for a light racing application. Thinking maybe something designed for a bike or atv but so far no luck. Anyway just wondering if anyone had any ideas on anywhere that did either something that could work or custom coilovers.
