I went through the same kind of things when I was building my Evo/GSR... Any unusual problem you could get/have ... I came across it..

Lol. When I die I can have a hardcover book of this thread made up to accompany the car.

This thread should be titled "Billy-Jack Johnston and the Half-Working FTO". Could hard-cover this. Legit.

I feel like we should do a 'best of' quote book for the forum anniversary one time!

So my car is now trying to imitate me in every way. It's about as old, has a few scars, leaks daily, is a bit small, and can make some curious noises.
Now it also refuses to start unless it is manually pushed first.
And while it's a useless lump, I took some pics.

So people take photos of you and put them on the internet every day?

Wouldn't surprise me. I'm pretty darn photogenic.

We could be twins across Australia, lel. If you feel like buying them for me, sure.

Deeply unfortunately, I have other priorities...
In other news, seems to be starting regularly? Struggles once after overnight, but it's consistent enough that I'm going to book for Regency tomorrow.

Nice, I'm sure you'll be glad to have it drivable again!
And I agree with Matt, it needs side skirts and a rear bar and/or spoiler :p

Sort of drivable, hah. Took it out this morning just in my burb, parked it, and then tried to start it and it went blank again. Not so promising! Fingers crossed I can pass it through Regency no issue.

How I envision my car in a months time.

So for this momentous millennium post, my car is now both defected and unregisterable.
Tried to pass Regency again for the reinspection, but it dropped a speck of oil on the mat under the hoist and that was basically an automatic fail. And despite that, even though I 'fixed' (shh) the rolling diameter issue, the guy who inspected me this time also did me for the tyres being outside the guards, and also the wheel track being too wide (though nothing was said about it last inspection). So I'm getting some cheap as chips tyres onto the stockies when I can. The other great fun is that now that I can't renew the registration till the defect is cleared, I have to pay for and collect in person a permit to drive it to only certain locations on certain routes.
Morals of this story thus far: hills cops are d*cks; change tyres before wear indicator lol; I'm sure I'll think of something else.
