Funny thing is it's actually pretty filthy after driving it around on this property for the past week without a proper wash. I did give it a hose off before these shots though.

In other news I think I might invest in a new left tail light, I think the discolouration has gotten worse as I actually noticed it this time. And I found out the right parker light on the rear tail is turning on again for some reason, but not always. No condensation in that one it seems.

Bald rear tyres (which are lol) and 'excessive oil leaks' so he had an excuse to send me to the Regency inspection centre. One hour to get home and then I couldn't drive any more. Had to anyway since I've been house sitting with the girlfriend and it was the last day, and even risked a shortish hop over to Tim's so he could have a look.

Almost freaked out when I had a police SUV pull up behind me at a set of lights. But either they didn't notice or didn't care, and I ducked left on the first side street I could.

Off to Tim's work in a bit for tyres and checking out the engine bay. Fortunately, my work is essentially in the middle between there and home, so it would be the height of stupidity to ping me for not going the most direct route.

You're allowed to travel to and from the place where work is being performed on the vehicle, i'e mechanic or in your case for tyres at a tyre shop.

If they tried to fine you, you can take them to court and the judge will tell them to f**k off because you're trying to do everything in your power to rectify the deflectable items

Yeah, I'm just hoping I don't get pulled over after midnight when I'm going home. But yeah, it is basically in the middle with barely a kilometre difference depending on which road I take. I need to find out where to have some things clarified though. Like, does an officer have to verbally tell me why he has pulled me over? And if he doesn't am I legally obliged to pop the hood for him?

So, ain't much been happening 'cause I can't really drive, but before I went through Regency the first time I got the new tyres on at least two of the wheels. Went with some Yokohama C Drives in 225/45 with the '4 for 3 deal' they had (Cheers Tim for invoicing them for me since July). In hindsight, considering I was buying more expensive tyres than last time anyway because I didn't have to pay for one of them, should have just gone a legal total rolling diameter, BUT OH WELL. (I have a loophole, but it's on the D.L.; suffice to say, it's a good thing there's no info on the FTO aside from what's in the car )

So pics. I feel a little sad to have surrendered my fictitious 235Club jumper for a 225 one, and it's on the approach to stance instead of mance (man stance) now, but I tended that way with the wheels alone anyway, haha. The lip isn't beyond the tyre, so the difference isn't much. Going to have to add more specs to the Tyre and Wheel Thread.

If I could drive the f**king thing I'd tell ya. Ah, nothing immediately noticeable for the moment. Having said that, they've been on the car for like two hours worth of driving, so they feel less grippy as a matter of course from the old ones. Once they've had time to wear in I'll be sure to let ya'll know. It does remind me though that when I was looking up Wheels/Tyres, the Miata guys who track (no h8 please) reckoned a 225 on a 9" rim felt better and even reduced lap times. Nothing deeply scientific, but decent consensus (found the thread http://www.miataturbo.net/wheels-tires- ... ire-49858/ )

Nah... they aren't... sorry man but they didn't scrub up well

Nope can't even sell them on

Silver overspray all over them, one is cracked on indicator and other has chip along top.. and both are rusty inside and not watertight.
