Jah, I do like it. And all I would really want is just a black rail (to use an odd description) basically to just make the car lower around the sides. Cause with the springs and oversized tyres it looks a little ass up.

Cannards and carbon diffusers and stuff look odd and theyre just another thing that can get damaged. Need to be careful not to have too much going on otherwise it will just end up riced out.
One of the guys in sales at work has an awesomely clean S15 but is just ruined by the silly carbon diffusers and stuff. If you get a sensible one it would be OK with the silver I reckon, but if its too big or kinda veilside style then it might look weird. I'd look into a simple styled one that isn't too over the top. I think that would look pretty good. If not, just skirts. Although the only problem with the skirts is that then the rear bar will look too high. Especially with your front bar. If you do one bit you have to basically do it all me thinks.

Yeah, probably wouldn't do the rear with a diffuser (maybe, maybe a WAH if I could get my hands on one). FTO shape not ideal for that.

Im having the same problem with my kit... with the Ts front bar, the side and rear look too high compared to the front bar..

Lol, yup. Though I guess that's a lot to do with the FTO shape from the factory too; have to work with it.

Bobby had Front and sides, and the ass didn't look too high up. Looked pretty good... But yeah, I had coilovers so he was able to be adjusted at the rear to lower...

Yeah, I'm really fond of the first picture of your car that's in your for sale thread. Though I think the DC skirts almost work better in black than they do with other colours. Just looks a little more streamlined I think. Inasmuch as I care for practicality though I prefer flushness to lowness (though I get all the scrape at the moment

). If I had money to spare I'd love to do fender flares, not like the Project F ones though, more the bolt-on style that tapers at the edges.

Thanks man.. I was really happy with how the car was lookin... Just rocked around stock with the Vr wing for a while ... Even that was good enough for me at the time... Best rear wing IMO... And always loved the facelift...
First changes were the c/f bits, as I always had a love for carbon ... Then I met Dwayne... lol ..
Matt's looks pretty good with the silver skirts as well... Which was one of the first Silver FTO's that I had seen and went .. "Yeah, I could own that"... Never really looked at Silver before... But with the Dwayne full kit, it would look off the chain...

Haha, man, I looked at Matt's car so much while I was waiting for my car to be repaired and Dwayne's front bar put on. I've really quite grown to like the silver. Mostly because it can look good in most light conditions, and because in full sunlight it really shows off the subtle body lines of the car like on the 3/4 panels and the bonnet curves, which can be lost on other colours.
I'm still so undecided about the spoiler. I really just wish there was one that looked good from every angle. Because I like all of the best options (stock, vR, despoilered), but I just stick with stock for the moment because that's what's on there.

I thought it kinda funny that when Richard Hammond did his review of the FTO that he said he really liked the spoiler, but I understand what he means. From a lot of perspectives it rounds off the shape of the car, and gives it that sort of 'forward momentum' look. I want to see what some bootlip/ducktails look like, but I wonder about how they'll fit on the FTOs unusual curves.
TL;DR: I want too much

I was never really a fan of the FTO with no rear spoiler... But on some FTO's when you look at colour, rest of the kit, wheels, and height, they can actually look good without a spoiler... But yeah, like anything, each to his own ... When I got mine, the only requirements were:
1) Black
2) Manual
3) Facelift
4) Momo steering wheel
5) MIVEC
The rest I could live with ...

... Although I had bought mine at a stage when you didn't really see as many around... And they were a lot more than what they go for now... So cost me a pretty penny, and required a bit of upkeep to make her look good again ... But we got there..

Yeah, I'm in the "upkeep" while wanting to be in the "modifying" stage, haha. I kind of want a manual conversion, but I'm happy enough with the tiptronic for the moment, and don't have the $$$ otherwise anyway!
Pics like this tempt me to despoiler. Though this is the crazy Russian off stanceworks who's bloody low and running like 10.5" wide rims in the back.

You know what.. From my time owning the Smurf, I actually liked the tip ... Was enjoyable break from my Manual FTO ... And much more fun than the bog auto in the Swift...
That Silver one does look nice... But it being so low helps it pull off the look... And only from the side... It is more when you look at the car from the rear that no spoiler looks a little odd...

Yeah. From straight side on, or from a little angle off the front is good. And also certain angles from straight behind. But looking diagonal from behind and higher shots it does look a bit pedestrian.

After having manual now, will never go back to a tip unless it is the smurf or tweetie

The most frustrating thing about the auto is putting it in neutral when you think it's in tip.

or trying to floor it in fourth in tip thinking it's in auto!
