Just seen this post and I guess we didn't look at it for ya

Well, we at least figured out it might not be the fluid! Should probably check nonetheless.

Well, fluid was a little lower than max, but nothing very much. Hasn't come on again yet anyway, lol. Getting more worried about this alternator though, but that is going in for the change tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, can I get new keys for my central locking/Immobiliser without having to get the car looked at? Like, do I just go to those locksmith guys and be like "I need another of these"?

Is all good mate. Yeah, going to the Automasters. Gareth was there at the desk when I went in on Thursday to book it in. Estimated it would takeabout as long as you suggested (and I didn't even have to show him the card lol). Quoted me about $150 from memory.

Have noticed a clunking sort of sound that happens usually when I am braking hard, and also usually when I hit a bump in the road at the same time. Doesn't seem to particularly effect braking performance, but I am wondering what it is.

Maybe when I finally get this car in for insurance to fix the roo damage they might spot something.

Sunroof shade stuck half open. (y) knew this day would come.

though it may fix itself yet with a bit o' jiggling.

it's not too hard to fix :p
Just open the sun roof as much as you can, and it can give you enough room.
It's happened twice to me.

It was really jammed this time. Like it had a few centimetres of give but then stuck hard. Managed to squeeze it back into position for the moment. Probably broke it lol

Went to my local mechanic (vipfto) to spec out a number of things to do.
- thermostat
- new battery (and bigger) and terminals
- strengthening the Whiteline rear sway bar mounts
- rooted lower engine mount which is clunkin all day erry day
- fixing the scrapey grinding noise on start
- potentially repurposing a muffler and tip I've had in the garage since ages ago

If you find out what the "scrapey grindey noise" let us know, as mines got that too

Jah, will do. I forget exactly what is was he said he'd check. To see if something was aligned or somesuch (my mechanical knowledge, so expansive hahaha). Apparently isn't doing it any damage, but it just doesn't sound healthy.
Also prepare for incoming pics lel.

You'd struggle to believe it made contact with a roo and has yet to be fixed wouldn't you. Well, you might catch the odd light bending above the passenger headlight. I'm just glad I can still get decent pictures!

Looks good mate.. Would look off the chain with the skirts though.. But love the silver with sunroof..
Front end is still a little visible that it is not straight.. But many FTO's are like that anyway.. So would never of guessed you had a run in with a roo..
But top job ...

Cheers! I've thought about the skirts before, but haven't found any cheap enough to justify the expense. I've wondered what a black or carbon fibre diffuser sort of thing would look like under the stock skirt.

Just my opinion, but I think something like that would look a little tacky. But just my $0.02...
I had an FTO for many years, and never found a kit that I liked.. Until Dwayne's stuff came along.. Best kit I have seen..
Yet again, JMO..
