Hey Bennoz unless your actually planning on going past Jindy then you may need chains, most of the time the roads are fine apart from way over in the Tumut/Cabramurra area which if your planning on driving strait over the mountains from the VIC side then you might need chains.
I grew up in the snowys so I have a fair idea of how the roads fair but you never really can be sure with the weather.
Then again the roads in the mountains on the way to Cabramurra are nice for planting your foot to the floor and letting your baby fly, so nice dry roads are good.

I noticed there has been no info added here for the last few months. So just wanted to see if there was any updates on when this might be happening. I am keen as to go, but need some notice obviously, since I'll be driving over from Adelaide. (and i have kids to organise a sitter for)

Mate the cruise will go ahead but not until around Oct/Nov this year.. after the snow season (try fitting chains to an FTO!) Trust me when we know the dates etc you guys will be the second to know

lol, yes yes blame it on the guy that's not here to defend himself lol.
hehehe, yeah a national cruise would be great, but i have a feeling this is not going to happen till well after new yrs
it'll be xmas soon, so i dont think there's enough time to plan such a big thing all out and do it before that, then ppl would be broke from xmas (i know i will be lol), a couple of months to recover, which would be good cos hopefully it wont be stupidly hot or stupidly cold when this does go through.

lol well dw borep, i havnt been on the forums for the past 3 days cos it gives me the shyts talkin 2 fto owners and im cringing to get my car back, so i avoid forums so i dont think abt my car as much lol
anyway it'll be good to finally meet members from other states, we can all have a cigar with borep and take turns redlining I ate a free's car LOL jk dude
but yea would be good!

what happened last national cruise? where did u guys go? how many days etc..
and how the hell can someone organise 30+cars when i have trouble getting a handful of mate to go drinking on friday nights? lol

she can stay home and clean while u r gone, women like doing things like that, they are happy to clean while you go out and have fun, in fact why not leave the kids home with her, she'll love it. she'll get to look after the 4 kids and clean all day long, she'll appriciate that u trust her to do all of that, and you wont have any input. she'll love you for many years to come for giving her this oppotunity.
i'm sry but this forum is about the only place that i can say that without the gf finding out and swatting me

narrr if me staying home is the only way for him to go ill live with it
it is his car after all i cant even drive it
