If only that were the answer.. Im tempted to hook up the engine jack and try and lift itBennoz wrote:Use a bigger hammer
I dont think I have a crowbar small enough to get in between the top cover and bottom housing/cover, nor will a screwdriver fit in to pry it up. Tried lifting it with the crane, too. No luck, the engine just got lifted along with the stand. Also, would a crowbar not damage the gasket?Sahin wrote:Use a crowbar it's perfectly safe (no troll)
Trust me, use a bigger hammer.Daniel2019 wrote:If only that were the answer.. Im tempted to hook up the engine jack and try and lift itBennoz wrote:Use a bigger hammer
I am, and im doing it on a 17 year old student's budgetSahin wrote:Get a new gasket you stinge
Aren't you rebuilding it?
Haha alrighty I'll give it a go tomorrow, although I dont think we have a bigger mallet..Bennoz wrote:Trust me, use a bigger hammer.Daniel2019 wrote:If only that were the answer.. Im tempted to hook up the engine jack and try and lift itBennoz wrote:Use a bigger hammer
Not a mallet, a 4 pound lump hammer. It won't be the last time you use one during this process eitherDaniel2019 wrote:Haha alrighty I'll give it a go tomorrow, although I dont think we have a bigger mallet..Bennoz wrote:Trust me, use a bigger hammer.Daniel2019 wrote:If only that were the answer.. Thats true, fair point. Ill have another crack tomorrow.Sahin wrote:They will start leaking eventually and won't be up to par with everything else lol
The whole point of a rebuild is so the the engine is as new...

Not yet. Will be a while before I start buying parts.. Im just gonna look through the engine and learn how to take it apart and put it together a little bit first. Will be a while before I have the money for it.FTO_GPvR wrote:Oh yeah the tapDaniel2019 wrote: Actually no, I had control of the tap![]()
Have you ordered any parts yet? Like seals, gaskets etc?
