As has been said, your car will be worth more 100% stock.COTY Manual wrote:How much did the scissor doors cost?
The more you modify, the smaller of a market it appeals to.

Just want you all to know i did sell it.
Got 7k. The person who bought it off me actually works where i moved too so i have the sadness of seeing it drive past me at work occasionally.![]()
It was a fun few years. Now i'm driving my paddock basher mazda 323 with 270,000 kms on the clock.
Never know, might get another FTO one day and have as a project.HOUSE FIRST THOUGH.
Will still stay on the forums. <3

Having heaps of fun with it and spoiling the car rotten. Sorry I 'had' to replace the wheels, but I still have the old ones in the garage for now.

Yeah idle was hunting due to a faulty sensor. Cleaned everything up (IACV), adjusted idle position sensor, adjusted throttle cable, then I went a bit crazy while I had it pulled apart and did a port 'n' polish of the intake runners, plenum etc. Runs smooth and has wicked throttle response now. Just waiting on parts for the heads to rebuild and more porting work.
Just have to work on suspension and weight reduction next

I can't remember the code that came up on MUT-II (I had a few), but the one that fixed idle issue pointed to IACV. I also have a dead 02 sensor (MUT-II rocks), so the idle still isn't perfect but at least it doesn't almost die on me. I'll be fixing that one soon

Intake Air Control valve, or stepper motor. Goes by many names. Mine was dirty, and there was a bit of sand like substance in the throttle body. Make sure you remove the IACV to clean it. Internally it has a large screw, actuated by an electric motor which drives the shift in and out. If you get cleaning agents down inside it, failure will follow soon after. I've seen it done many times before, people remove the intake pipe, spray a bucket load of throttle body cleaner in the intake not realising it all drains down into the IACV.
Plenty of good how to vids on youtube, just be careful with the O'ring.
