i dont know about the spirit of Tasmania. I heard a lot of cars have been damaged on those boats from water seeping in the cars.

I'm sure there'd be some salt-spray, but water getting into the car I doubt. There'd be too many claims and publicity issues both of which would hurt financially. The water level in the parking area would also need to be quite high for water to get in the car.

Look at the brighter side jonowong, if it sinks, we can sue the company for damages, that mean all new FTO & claim all the mod we want. Cause no one going 2 dive underwater & check all the mod one by one.

that's right, they'll have to replace my 4wd FTO with a 500hp motor and Xtrac transmission, scissor doors, full carbonfibre body, 150db ICE system, harlequin paint, lightweight forged magnesium rims, full leather interior and sick neons bro...

*slaps over Jono's head* TOUCHWOOD!!

ummm.... they'll simply hand you a cheque for whatever your car is insured for, they won't find you a new one with mods.

Hi Guys,

Put my FTO on the Spirit Of Tasmania and had no problems whatsoever and it was parked on the lowest level. Had at least a 3 metre swell that night.

Had a great nights sleep after 6 Cascade Draughts before going to bed. :-)

Cheers

Chris

:D and to end this thread on a happy note.... tonight the club received a letter from our "hosts" in Mallacoota....

Dear Tanya & All FTO's

Just a short letter to express our appreciation the way you left your flats so nice and clean for the next person.

Thankyou very much.

We feel this is the nicest way to express ones mutual esteem and we hope that you can come back SOON!!

This was a particularly lovely time for us (one way or another!) and we enjoyed your company and would have wished for a bit more of it. Alas things were very hectic.

We hope you had a really good run home.

Margaret & Peter

so I guess this means we are welcome back for our next annual get together :D
