I might come along for the heck of it. Meet some members, eat all the bbq
...can help with spark plugs, cai, headlight adjustment, changing bulbs, strut bars... all the usual basics.
I also do my own mobile car detailing so if anyone wants their car washed/wax on the day etc, i can do that (obviously only a quick job...a proper polish and wax takes over 6 hours per car minimum). I'd only ask a small fee to cover my products used or you can supply your own. Ppl can also ask me on advice for washing the car properly to minimise scratching/swirling.
If anyone wants me to wash/wax etc, please express interest here as i'll have to bring some equipment. If there's a power point, even better as i'll bring a machine to do it.

Im praying i could come to this D.I.Y day ...
But isnt there too many things to be done for the few mechanics?
Im pretty noob with all the hands on things ... but i can do the FTO brake lights for those who wants
(similar to my avatar but better, more clear to see) ... install neons for interior and such ... and give few of the ftos on the day a clean
Just wondering who wants to attend this DiY day but has no transport / car? (willing to let you drive my FTO
)

If they're not deep, i can completely get rid of them if you'd like.jay6 wrote:they arent that deep, you can see them when in the sunlight. the only solution ive come up with is black filling wax but its only temporaryJay 6,
Depending on how deep those scratches are, i can eliminate/severely lessen them if you'd like.

Lol, yeah sorry i don't have a mobile spray booth but that would be kinda cool
If the previous people covered it up with liquid paper, i'm gonna guess the scratch/es are pretty deep. Here's my cheap fix recommendation...
You have a white fto so it will be Scotia white, get the paint code off the plates of the car and goto your local panel beaters and find someone to mix up a bit of paint for you. Some won't do it but some will do it if they are nice. You can ask for a bit of clearcoat as well if you wanna push your luck. Make sure to bring two containers to hold the white paint and maybe the clearcoat. Then bring it on the day and i'll fill it in for you.
Whatever you do, don't sand it down and spray paint it yourself lol...nasty nasty nasty.
Alternative is to goto a panel beater, they'll sand it down and properly spray and blend it for you. Probably around $250 to $300.

Call Panelhouse in QLD & they'll be able to ship you a replacement arch liner. I think they're around the $100 mark & you get all the bits to secure it in place too.
