Actually.... If you wanna help out, you can find out the differences in the engine parts between the GR and GPX... in particular the distributer...
i rang rick and he "thinks" theres a difference... need to find out for sure...

Just spoke to rick. Looks like theres a fair chance of this not being done for Autosalon...
I just told him to do it right... and if its done in time, then thats a bonus...
He's away half of monday and all of tuesday... and none of his mechanic mates want to take on the work...

Not sure on finish time... need to commit to a turbo first...
Either going a custom Turbo rated up around 600hp from my tuner or get him to fit a GT-28-71R rated to 460hp....
$1800 for Garrett(No need to modify piping) or $2200 for the other.... Not including having to modify the piping... (prob $500-$800)
This stage im leaning towards blowing the extra cash for the bigger turbo... i think i'll regrett going halfway...

Okay just made the call to rick...
Engine is going ahread... will be in the car in the next few days.
Once done the process will be to get my tuner down the coast... he will see what he can do.... As far as fitting the biggest turbo he can under the bonnet...
Once he has that sorted the car will be either towed or the T28 fitted and driven to his shop where he will do the neccesary pipework to fit the new turbo..
Worst case scenario is i fit a GT28-71R to it...
Best case is we make room for a big f**koff turbo and run some serious power...
either way we're looking at minimum a few weeks...
so im looking at november now... (expecting december though)

Yeh i know...
We're also looking into Billet Shafts and CVs, an LSD, slicks and a boost regulating launch controller...
not to mention custom built tein suspension...
So trying everything we can to minimize it
