Agreed. And from side on it's basically level.

So I found out that my camera shutter speed is actually good enough to take pictures without the tripod at night if there's enough light. Some are a tad blurry, but it's better than everything being from like 30cm off the ground, or whatever other raised surface I can find nearby.

Never let it be said that I didn't provide with all the pictures you could ever want and more!

Danke, danke.

I know I mention it every second post, but I really want to get that spoiler off. Though from that angle it doesn't look too bad. Other priorities though. Waiting for a next few paychecks, maybe tax return, and then coilies. 8)

I like the one you used as your cover photo..14th down I think. Dat closeup.

You definitely know your way around a camera, ought go to Windy's and do some extended exposure stuff sometime, would be rad!

And you're not looking at de-spoilering are you??

It really is just angles. After taking so many pictures, I'm getting a feel for which ones flatter the shape, and which ones are a little iffy. e.g. I really like shots from slightly off centre, as you may have noticed, because the edge of the rear window/roof line follows the curve of the rear of the car. Like the 4th and 8th pics especially. Otherwise all I do is fiddle a bit with the brightness/contrast/midtones and sometimes the colour saturation.

Once your car is all wrapped you should just go out and take a bunch! The moar the better, and you just filter out the best ones. (I took over 100 shots last night. )

Do love these RPF1's. They way the spokes are designed I'd almost go for more (spokes that is) if I ever get another set of wheels, or something meshy. But fiddly intertwining spokes would be a bitch to clean. These are actually fairly easy because most everything is curved and spaced easily enough for a sponge.

Believe it or not, I actually know sh*t all about cameras. Well, I know a little bit (and remnants of things from when I did a Black and White photography class at uni years ago.) I know how to take a picture, but my technical-know-how extends only to dropping the ISO range. And even then I can't get it to do what I want all the time. I might actually do some reading on it though, and check my camera manual (if I can find it) to see whether it's actually capable of much adjustability. It's basically just a compact with a big zoom.

But yes, definitely need a photo shoot some time. As you can see, I already have an expansive collection of pictures of my own car, hahaa.

I'm fairly intent on despoilering. I think it works for the FTO because even though the ass end rides up kinda high, the boot slants down a bit. Want to make it look a little more grounded like that, even though the leaning-forward look of the stock spoiler works as well sometimes. If I get adventurous, I might see how that TRD (I think) boot lip for the 86/BRZ will go, once the other member here has it fitted.

That's the beauty of these cars, the angles.. :)

Oh yes the cleaning haha, why I'm happy with my matte ones, you can never tell the difference.

Honestly I'd get you to take photos of my car, you've got a real feel for it, especially if you're just playing around with it, like seriously good. Me on the other hand..not so much. I'd place bets there's a heap more you can adjust, compacts are surprisingly versatile these days.

If you're looking for a quick fix, there's DIY vids on Youtube..basically just plugs it up and it's reversible. Looks pretty clean too. Personally I wouldn't do a lip spoiler but it's a personal thing. I think you're right in despoilering it though, would suit it!

True with the black rims, haha. I like having the silver though, because when you clean them, you can actually tell when they are. It's kinda funny now that I'm noticing it, but seeing all these cars around with the front wheels baked in brake dust because they look like they haven't been washed since they rolled out of the dealership!

Doing anything this saturday? ;) (I don't believe I am, haha)

After seeing Daniel's thread on despoilering I might pay a shop to do it right and then it's all good. As said though, not for a little while yet.

It's a Pentax X90. Picked it up from Target I think for $350 from memory, with bag and mini tripod, a few years ago now.

Shows what you can do with a cheap camera!
I need to get out more and take some more pics of mine...
Maybe once it's repaired...

Yeah, having a damaged car doesn't really inspire one to take pictures of it.

While you're waiting for that, you should get some new rims. ;)
